Rescue dog Chester enjoying new role with Avon and Somerset Police

A rescue dog is enjoying his new role with Avon and Somerset Police.

Chester, who arrived from a rescue home in Coventry, has joined the force as a trainee police dog after it put out an appeal for spaniel-type dogs on social media.

Sgt Nick Dalrymple said about 70% of the force’s police dog unit come from rescue homes.
