West Ham United manager Rehanne Skinner has signed a one-year contract extension with the Women’s Super League club.
Former Spurs boss Skinner became West Ham’s first female manager of the WSL era in the summer of 2023.
This season the Hammers have stayed clear of relegation danger and are seventh in the table with 23 points from 20 games, giving them a chance of a top-six finish.
Skinner succeeded Paul Konchesky at the end of the 2022-23 season and endured a difficult first campaign in which West Ham finished second-bottom of the WSL.
But improvements this season have seen West Ham go unbeaten in their past five games – including WSL draws with Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United.
They beat bottom club Crystal Palace 7-1 away on Sunday to condemn the Eagles to relegation.
“I’m delighted to be extending my contract at West Ham United,” Skinner, 45, told the club website.
“We’ve made huge progress on and off the pitch over the last 18 months, which has been a collective effort from everyone at the club.”
