Raith Rovers sack manager Robson after poor run

Raith Rovers have sacked manager Barry Robson after four defeats from their past six Scottish Championship games.

Assistant manager Andy Kirk has also been relieved of his duties as the Kirkcaldy club sit in sixth place with 18 points from 14 games.

Former Aberdeen boss Robson, 47, moved to Stark’s Park at the tail end of 2024, and departs 11 months into a two-and-a-half year contract.

Rovers are 13 points behind league leaders St Johnstone, but just one behind Fife rivals Dunfermline Athletic in fourth spot.

A brief statement from the club makes no mention of an interim replacement for the next match at home to bottom-of-the-table Airdrieonians on Saturday.
