Rail delays ongoing day after Wolverhampton three-car crash fire

Disruption has continued on West Midlands rail lines due to signalling problems following a three-vehicle car crash under a railway bridge on Saturday.

The crash, which sparked a fire on Manor Road in Ettingshall, Wolverhampton, damaged signalling equipment, resulting in major disruption across the network.

Four people, including two young children, were taken to hospital after the incident and a man arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.

National Rail said delays and cancellations between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton railway stations were expected to last until about15:00 BST.
