Preston families heartbroken after men found dead 10 days after crash

The families of two men who were found dead 10 days after their fatal car crash have said they are heartbroken over their deaths.

William Hutchinson, 31, and Stuart Tallis, 27, were found in a blue Peugeot 106 off the A584 Preston New Road, in Newton-with-Clifton, Lancashire, on 4 July. Officers have appealed for witnesses who saw the car just before it crashed at 05:30 BST on 24 June.

Hutchinson’s family said he was a “proud father to two beautiful children” who had a “heart of gold”, and was “truly one in a million”.

Tallis’ family say their “hearts are broken” but “we will cherish those memories forever and carry them with us every day”.

Hutchinson was last seen on 24 June in Preston, while Tallis was reported missing three days later in the city.

Police said the pair’s crashed car was “hidden from view, in thick undergrowth”, before it was found.

The force said both men were found dead inside the vehicle.

Hutchinson’s family added: “We are all still struggling to come to terms with this devastating tragedy.

“The shock of losing William so suddenly has left family and friends heartbroken, and the grief we feel is beyond words.”

Tallis’ family added: “His smile, laughter, and kind heart could light up a room and make even the darkest days feel brighter.”
