Tributes have been paid to a “friendly and kind” agricultural depot worker who died at work as an investigation into the incident continues.

John Prodger, 65, from the Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant area of Powys, died at the Wynnstay Depot in Llansantffraid, on Monday.

Police said his sudden death was not being treated as suspicious, but inquiries to establish the full circumstances were ongoing.

Mr Prodger’s family said they were “distraught” by the loss of their “loving husband, father, and grandfather”.
