Police search River Aire for missing fisherman

Police divers have been searching for a fisherman who was last seen entering the River Aire in West Yorkshire.

Emergency services were called to The Island in Knottingley at about 22:00 BST on Wednesday to look for Nathan Stanley.

West Yorkshire Police said Mr Stanley, 36, had been fishing with a friend before entering the water.

The force said searches, including the use of underwater search teams, had taken place and asked members of the public to report any sightings of Mr Stanley.
