Police have launched an investigation into the possible remains

Possible remains have been found in a bag in a West Dunbartonshire town.

Police Scotland said the discovery was made in the Arthurstone Road area of Alexandria around 09:45 on Sunday.

It comes after body parts identified as Graham Wright were found about 15 miles away in Loch Lomond on 13 September.

But it is understood detectives are not currently treating the find as being linked to Mr Wright’s disappearance.

The 38-year-old was last seen in the Gorbals area of Glasgow on 20 August and was reported missing five days later.

A force spokesperson said: “Around 9.45am on Sunday, 2 November, 2025, police were made aware of a bag with possible remains found in the Arthurstone Road area of Alexandria.

“The contents are being assessed and inquiries are ongoing.”

Two people – Linda Kelly, 47, and David McColl, 50, have previously appeared in court charged with killing and dismembering Mr Wright before dumping his body parts in Glasgow and Loch Lomond.
