Police launch investigation after man, 22, dies from injuries

The man was found in Knockinlaw Mount in Kilmarnock

Police have launched an investigation into the death of a man found seriously injured in Ayrshire on Saturday.

The 22-year-old was discovered with a serious injury in Knockinlaw Mount in Kilmarnock about 09:35, after the force received a report of concern.

He was taken to hospital, where he later died.

The force said the death was being treated as unexplained.
