Michelle Wade, 36 was last seen in Kilmarnock on Friday 25 July.

Police are growing “increasingly concerned” for a woman who has been missing from Kilmarnock for over a week.

Michelle Wade, 36 was last seen in the town’s North Hamilton Street area at about 20:15 on Friday 25 July.

She is described as white, about 5ft 5in tall, with medium build and long brown/blonde hair. She has a distinctive star tattoo on the left-hand side of her face and was last seen wearing a sage green tracksuit and trainers.

Police Scotland said her disappearance is out of character.

Insp Chris Cochrane said: “Nine days have passed since Michelle was last seen and we are growing increasingly concerned as it is out of character for her not to be in touch with anybody for this long.

“We are carrying out a number of inquiries to trace her and I would appeal again to anyone who has any information on her whereabouts to please contact us as soon as possible.”

He asked members of the community to check gardens and outbuildings, as well as doorbell footage.
