Police Scotland is appealing for further witnesses who may have stopped prior to officers arriving on the scene to come forward.

Sgt Michael Shillington said: “We know there were a number of witnesses who assisted at the scene prior to emergency services attending.

“Specifically, we’re keen to hear from two people who we believed stopped behind the Fiesta following the crash and spoke with the driver.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and many have dash cam or private CCTV footage that could assist to contact us, external.”
