The crash happened on North Anderson Drive at about 16:50 on Wednesday

A police motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash with a car in Aberdeen.

The incident happened on North Anderson Drive at about 16:50 on Wednesday. The bike was not using blue lights or its siren at the time.

The officer was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. Their condition is not known.

Police Scotland said 32-year-old male driver of the car will be reported for road traffic offences. The road reopened about four hours later.
