Plans submitted for 26-storey student block in Glasgow

Developers have submitted plans to build a 26-storey block of flats which could house 410 students in Glasgow.

Graham Investment Projects has submitted a planning permission application for the block in the Anderston area of the city.

A four-storey office building is set to be knocked down to make way for the student flats on Hydepark Street, near the River Clyde, just west of the Kingston Bridge.

Developers hope to include space for more than 200 bikes, outdoor terraces as well as a cinema and lounge area to accommodate students.
