Norton Canes: Woman arrested after man’s death in village

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died at a house in Staffordshire.

The man, aged in his 30s, was discovered “in cardiac arrest” at about 03:25 GMT on Christmas Day, after emergency services were called to the scene.

A 33-year-old woman from Cannock was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody after the call to the address in Elm Road, Norton Canes.

Officers remain at the scene, with a post-mortem examination scheduled to take place on Boxing Day, said a Staffordshire Police spokesperson.
