Police said the attack happened at 19:15 BST after a dispute involving the girl and a group of boys at the park on Lorenzo Drive, Norris Green.
Det Insp Steve Street said the attack was “wholly unacceptable” and urged anyone who may have witnessed the altercation to contact the force.
He added: “The use of any weapons is reckless and will not be tolerated, and can have tragic consequences, not only for the victim and their family but also for the offenders involved.
“I would urge people to educate themselves and speak to their children and family members about the dangers of knife crime.”
