NI weather: Yellow weather warning for wind issued

The Police Service for Northern Ireland (PSNI) have warned people to take care when driving as many roads are still impassable following Storm Éowyn, with fallen trees, power lines and debris.

A yellow warning was also issued for snow and ice from 18:00 GMT on Saturday to 10:00 on Sunday.

As of 16:30 GMT on Saturday, about 140,000 properties were still without electricity.

Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) Networks say some residents will be without power for up to 10 days.

In the Republic of Ireland, there were approximately 353,000 customers still without power as of 20:45 local time on Saturday, down from a peak of 768,000 as a result of Storm Éowyn.
