NI weather: Disruption possible as Storm Ashley approaches

Stormy weather could bring disruption to parts of Northern Ireland this weekend.

It has been named Storm Ashley by Irish weather service, Met Éireann, who issue warnings across the Republic of Ireland.

Very strong winds are forecast across the whole of Ireland and parts of Great Britain, especially Scotland.

The second highest level of warning – Status Orange – has been issued for Galway and Mayo from noon on Sunday until 21:00 (local time).

A Status Yellow warning has been issued elsewhere from 10:00 BST until midnight.
