Newtownards: Shots fired at flat window

A number of shots have been fired at a ground floor flat in Newtownards, County Down.

Police said they received a report of the attack at about 00:45 BST on Saturday.

Damage was caused to the living room window, they added.

No one is believed to have been at home at the time.

A man dressed in black clothing and carrying a suspected firearm was seen running along an alleyway near Cuan Court shortly after the shooting.

PSNI Det Sgt Mullan appealed for anyone who noticed anything suspicious to contact police.
