A murder investigation has been launched after the death of a 36-year-old man who was found unresponsive in the street.
Gwent Police said officers attended Chepstow Road, Newport, after a man was found with “serious injuries” at about 18:00 BST on Tuesday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service.
The force said the man’s next of kin have been informed.
