Newcastle: Tino Livramento injury ‘not looking good’ – Eddie Howe

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe said it was “really distressing” to see defender Tino Livramento carried off on a stretcher in the 2-1 Premier League defeat by Arsenal.

The England full-back landed awkwardly after jumping for a header with Arsenal defender William Saliba late in the game.

Howe said he thinks Livramento suffered a knee injury.

“He’s such a big player for us in so many different ways – his versatility, his attitude, his quality,” Howe said.

“If we’re going to miss that for any length of time, it is going to be a huge blow.”
