Jackson, who can play in the centre or on the wing, has agreed a two-year contract to move to Kingston Park.

The 6ft 3ins 24-year-old has scored 13 tries in 29 games for Sarries, including three this season, although he has only featured in two Prem matches.

“Brandon is a talented English player who will add to our group, and we’re looking forward to working with him,” said, external Newcastle sporting general manager Neil McIlroy.

“He scores tries on a regular basis, he’s a big physical presence and it’s great that aspiring players like him see Newcastle Red Bulls as a club where they can fulfil their ambitions.”
