Newcastle Falcons hooker Ollie Fletcher has signed a new two-year deal at Kingston Park.

Fletcher, 22, scored three tries in 24 Gallagher Premiership matches for the Falcons last season, increasing his career total to three in 36.

The former England Under-20 international said he is pleased to continue with Newcastle having developed in the club’s academy.

“I’m incredibly proud to re-sign at my boyhood club,” Fletcher said.

“It’s a promising time for rugby in the North East, and I’m excited to keep developing and be part of this club’s journey moving forward.”

Newcastle begin the new Prem season at home to Saracens on Friday, 26 September.
