Argentina prop Eduardo Bello has signed a new one-year contract with Newcastle Falcons.

Bello did not play a single minute last season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury playing for Los Pumas in the 2024 Rugby Championship.

But the 29-year-old, who has won 26 caps for his country, will be available for the new Gallagher Prem season.

“It’s been a hard year not being able to play after injuring my knee, but I’m determined to make a big contribution during what is a really exciting time for the club,” said, external Bello.

Newcastle finished bottom of the Premiership last season but are on the verge of being taken over by energy drink giants Red Bull.
