New attempt to refloat cargo ship stuck in Humber Estuary

A new attempt is being made to refloat a cargo ship that ran aground in the Humber Estuary.

H&S Wisdom became lodged on a sandbank near Brough on 2 March, with subsequent attempts to free the vessel proving unsuccessful.

Efforts are now being made to lighten the ship’s load using cranes ahead of a new attempt at the weekend.

The vessel became stuck as it made its way to Gunness Wharf Port near Scunthorpe.
