My journey from needing a wheelchair to CrossFit Games

A Highland mother has said her life has been transformed by CrossFit after grabbing a place in the finals of the sports annual adaptive games in Texas.

Rachel Hives, who is from Drumnadrochit in the Highlands, has functional neurological disorder and only took up the sport two years ago.

She has now secured a place as one of the top 10 athletes in her section worldwide and has said the sport has helped her live independently again.
