Murder charge after man found dead in property in Ipswich

A 38-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was found dead at a property in Ipswich.

Police were called at 11:37 GMT on Tuesday to reports that a man had died at the address in College Street.

A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. Post-mortem tests found he had died as a result of injuries to the head, neck and face, police said.

Arvydas Maliusis, of Recorder Road, Norwich, was charged with murder. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

A 41-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on conditional bail, police said.

A police cordon remains in place at the property.
