A man has been charged with murder over the death of another man and a woman in East Sussex.
Adrian Horton, 66, and Uschi Schild, 46, were found dead at a property in Seven Acre Close in St Leonards, at about 04:30 BST on Tuesday.
Sussex Police said Sean Gray was arrested at an address in Battle Road and has since been charged with murder.
The 58-year-old, of no fixed address, is due to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Det Supt Jay Mendis-Gunasekera said: “This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts remain with the families, friends and loved ones of those who have died at this very difficult time.
“We believe that the suspects and the victims were known to each other and we are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with the investigation.”
He added this was a “fast-moving investigation” as police continue to establish the full circumstances surrounding these deaths.
“Officers are continuing enquiries at the address and nearby, with an increased police presence remaining in the area,” Mendis-Gunasekera said.
