A motorcyclist has died following a crash involving a car and a motorbike.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision with blue and white Suzuki motorcycle and a black Range Sport on the A547 at the Black Cat roundabout, in Llandudno Junction despite the “best efforts” of emergency crews, North Wales Police said.

The crash happened at 11:30 BST on Saturday.

Police said the dead man’s next of kin and the coroner have been informed.

The force added that the road remained closed while investigations were carried out at the scene.

Lead investigating officer, Sgt Alun Jones from the road crime team offered his “deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time”, and thanked those who stopped to assist at the scene, including many health care professionals who were off duty.

He urged anyone who may have witnessed the crash or may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to get in touch.
