Motorbike passenger seriously hurt in crash with car

A woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious crash between a motorbike and a car in Aberdeenshire.

The 55-year-old was a pillion passenger on the Triumph Rocket which collided with a Nissan Qashqai in the Bridge of Canny area, near Banchory, at about 15:00 on Sunday.

The male rider, 43, was also taken to hospital while the driver and passenger of the car were not injured.

Police Scotland appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, to contact them on the non-emergency line, external.
