Mother and daughter on trial accused of killing security guard

Mr Hutton said he was trying to keep the situation calm but Teresa Gordon was shouting abuse. He said: “At one moment she shouted ‘I hope he dies’.”

Emergency services were called by Mr Ireland was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is alleged they both assaulted him, struggled with him, attempted to wrestle a rucksack and jacket from him.

The pair are also accused of repeatedly striking him on the legs with a walking frame, as well as shouting and swearing at him.

They are also accused of stealing tins of paint and a knife block.
