Moffat Academy forced to close by flooding

A secondary school has been closed in southern Scotland due to flooding.

Moffat Academy in Dumfries and Galloway suffered what has been described as “major water ingress” on both floors of the building.

The council confirmed that the secondary had been closed to all year groups due to damage.

The school has a roll of about 250 pupils.
