Chelsea striker Mia Fishel has torn her anterior cruciate ligament while training with the United States.
USA forward Fishel, 22, joined Chelsea from Mexican club Tigres on a three-year contract in August.
She has made 10 Women’s Super League (WSL) appearances this season, scoring once.
“Mia will be assessed by a specialist in the coming days and will then begin her rehabilitation with the club’s medical team at Cobham,” Chelsea said.
