Italy international Marco Riccioni will leave Saracens at the end of the season, with Jermaine Ainsley replacing him in north London.

Riccioni, 28, joined Sarries in 2021 from Benetton and won the Premiership title in 2022-23.

He has made 68 appearances, including 12 this season, and has 36 international caps.

“Five years ago, I arrived at Saracens not knowing how much this place would shape me. Now, as this chapter comes to an end at the conclusion of the season, it’s hard to put into words what this club has meant to me,” he told the club’s website., external

“This hasn’t been easy. It took time, reflection, and honest conversations with my family and my close ones.”

Ainsley, 30, has spent time playing in Australia and France. Born in New Zealand, he has three caps for the Wallabies.

He will join Saracens from Lyon at the end of the current season.
