Marquez said he was “super happy” after he marked his milestone win by standing on his bike as he crossed the line, then celebrating with a red ‘100’ flag.

“Expensive [hard-earned] win because after last year it changed everything,” said Marquez, whose 2025 season ended early when he injured his shoulder in a collision with Bezzecchi.

“But the sport is like this. From one day to the other, one can change everything. “

He added: “I learned this in 2020,” referring to his withdrawal from the 2020 season after breaking his arm in an opening-round crash.

Marquez also led from flag to flag to win the Saturday sprint ahead of Acosta and Bezzecchi.

Second in the overall standings, Martin finished sixth in the sprint, allowing Bezzecchi to extend his lead to 20 points.
