Manchester City to parade Premier League trophy in city centre

The “Sky Blues” recorded their unprecedented achievement on Sunday beating West Ham 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium to win the title by two points over Arsenal.

Manchester City Council said there would be several stopping points along the route for fans to take photographs.

Ms Craig said: “Being crowned Premier League champions once again, and for an astonishing fourth year in a row, is an incredible achievement by the club and its players, showing once again that Manchester’s world class sporting credentials really are second to none.”

The council said people who want to join the party should note the city centre is already expected to be busy as tens of thousands of runners take part in the race, which is due to finish at 15:30 on Deansgate.

Fans planning to attend the parade are asked to travel light and not to bring big bags or glass bottles
