Man stops driver on Norwich NDR and impersonates police officer

Police have issued a warning after a man driving a car with flashing lights stopped a motorist and impersonated a police officer.

Norfolk Police said the victim, a man in his 50s, was stopped on the Northern Distributor Road (NDR), near Norwich Airport, between 13:00 and 14:00 BST on 20 June and was questioned about his driving.

The force said the man posing as an officer did not show a warrant card, or have a utility belt, radio, police badges or epaulettes.

Ins Will Dummond said police were keen to “identify the car and the occupant”.
