Man injured in Manchester synagogue attack released from hospital

One of the men injured in the Manchester synagogue attack has been released from hospital, police have said.

Three men were taken to hospital after the 2 October attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation in which two others – Adrian Daulby, 53, and 66-year-old Melvin Cravitz were killed.

Greater Manchester Police also confirmed that two of the three injured men remained in hospital.

One of those injured, Yoni Finlay, 39, was hit by a police bullet as he helped to prevent Jihad Al-Shamie, 35, from getting inside the synagogue.

Another victim, Andrew Franks, suffered head, neck and face injures, as well as a number of broken bones when he was attacked by Al-Shamie outside the synagogue.

The third victim has only been named as Bernard.
