Man dies after being hit by motorcycle in Llanelli

A man has died after being struck by a motorcycle as he walked through Llanelli town centre.

Dyfed-Powys Police said it received reports of a serious incident involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian at about 21:55 BST on Friday.

The man, who was walking near a Home Bargains store on Station Road, sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.

Dyfed-Powys Police said it was not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

The pedestrian’s family have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers, they added.

Anyone with information which could help officers with their investigation is asked to report it to the force.
