Man City transfer news: Gianluigi Donnarumma closes in on move from PSG

Manchester City are in advanced talks to sign goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris St-Germain for a fee of just over £30m, with Ederson set to join Turkish side Fenerbahce.

The 26-year-old Donnarumma has become surplus to requirements with Ligue 1 and Champions League winners PSG following the signing of Lucas Chevalier from Lille in August.

With his contract up at the end of this season, he now looks set to join City in a deal costing 35m euros (£30.3m) before Monday’s 19:00 BST deadline.

City signed James Trafford from Burnley for £27m in the summer and the Englishman has started the campaign as number one, but sources have told BBC Sport that manager Pep Guardiola has now made a move for Donnarumma and the deal is expected to be completed.

Regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, Donnarumma has won 74 caps for Italy and was the Azzurri’s hero in the penalty shootout victory over England in the Euro 2020 final.
