Police were called to Hailesland Gardens in Wester Hailes following reports of a gun being discharged

A 25-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a gun following a firearms incident in Edinburgh last month.

Police were called to Hailesland Gardens in the Wester Hailes area on 24 July following reports of a gun being fired.

A 23-year-old man was treated in hospital for an injury to his arm.

The arrested man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.
