Armed police raided the building on Earlston Avenue in Dundee

A man has been charged with attempted murder after armed police were called to a house in Dundee.

Firearms officers were called to Earlston Avenue in the city’s Whitfield area at about 12:10 on 14 March.

A firearm was later discharged by police.

A 34-year-old man has now been charged and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

The firearm incident has been referred to the Police Investigation and Review Commissioner (Pirc).

Pirc has been contacted for comment.
