Man charged over Primrose Hill New Year’s Day crash

A man has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after two pedestrians were hit by a car just after midnight on New Year’s Day.

Two men, aged 59 and 23, were struck at the junction of Regent’s Park Road and Primrose Hill Road.

The older man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the younger victim suffered minor injuries.

Daniel Sterling, 40, of Hampstead, will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court later also charged with dangerous driving, failing to provide a drug test, possession of a knife in a public place, assault by beating and a racially aggravated public order offence.
