A man has been charged with a number of driving-related offences following reports of police vehicles being rammed in Belfast.
The 41-year-old’s charges include driving with excess alcohol in breath, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, resisting police and assault on police in relation to the incident which took place on Friday 14 November at Bloomfield Avenue in east Belfast.
He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday 12 December.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed they are investigating two separate reports of police vehicles being rammed.
A 43-year-old man, arrested in west Belfast on Thursday 13 November on suspicion of offences including dangerous driving, driving with excess alcohol in breath and aggravated taking and driving away, has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
