Man charged after being arrested at protest

A man who was arrested at a protest in Belfast on Sunday has been charged with disorderly behaviour and attempted criminal damage.

The 44-year-old is to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 14 April.

The charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Two protests took place in Belfast on Sunday afternoon – one an anti-immigration protest and the other, a counter protest against racism.
