A man has been arrested after suspected Class B controlled drugs worth an estimated £105,000 were seized in Lisburn.

The detection and arrest was made during the stop and search of a vehicle in the Ivy Hill area shortly after 17:00 BST on Wednesday.

Police said a quantity of cash was also seized, along with a mobile phone.

The driver of the vehicle, a 52-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply. He remains in custody.

Officers conducted a follow-up search of a property in the Antrim area later on Wednesday evening.

Detective Sergeant Tracey said: “Under Operation Dealbreaker, we are actively committed to removing drugs from our streets.

“We will continue to proactively investigate and carry out searches to disrupt this activity and those involved in the drugs trade.”
