A 34-year-old man has been arrested after armed officers were called out to reports of a man with a weapon in a street in Fife.

The incident happened in the Inchgall Avenue area of Crosshill at about 10:10.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers attended and a 34-year-old man has been arrested.

“There is no risk to the wider public and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
