Man, 61, dead following Highland crash involving two motorbikes

A man has died following a crash involving two motorbikes in Sutherland.

The incident occurred shortly after 11:00 on Wednesday on the A837 near Loch Assynt.

A 61-year-old man, who was the rider of a BMW GS1250, died at the scene.

A second motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man who was riding a Honda VFR motorbike, was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries.
