Man, 34, seriously injured after Johnstone hit-and-run

A man has been seriously injured after a hit-and-run in Renfrewshire.

Police said the incident happened at about 00:30 on Saturday in Thorn Brae, Johnstone.

The 34-year-old victim was struck by a silver Volkswagen Polo which failed to stop.

Det Insp Russell Paton said: “Our inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information to contact police.

“We also ask anyone who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward, external.”
