Man, 22, dies in M40 collision near High Wycombe

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s died in a crash on a motorway.

Thames Valley Police said a black Vauxhall Astra was involved in a collision on the southbound carriageway of the M40 between junction 4, for High Wycombe, and junction 3, for Loudwater, at about 21:10 BST on Saturday.

The force said a man, 22, died at the scene and no arrests had been made.

PC Stuart Holt, investigating officer at the joint operations roads policing unit, said: “We are investigating this collision as a priority so I’m urging any witnesses to get in touch.”

Officers said the man’s next of kin had been informed and were being offered support.

PC Holt added: “Any drivers with a dash cam who were in the vicinity at the time should review any footage they may have as it could hold vital information about the collision or the moments leading up to it.”
