M5 traffic between Worcester and Droitwich stopped

Traffic on the M5 in Worcestershire has been stopped in both directions due to a “police led incident”, according to National Highways.

The incident was first reported at about 13:00 GMT, with both carriageways shut between junction six, for Worcester, and five for Droitwich.

A spokesperson for National Highways said an air ambulance was at the scene alongside other emergency services.

West Mercia Police has been contacted for more information.
